Jennifer India 2020

In January 2020, Jennifer will be embarking on a 9,000km trip to return to Southern India, where she will once again be carrying out volunteer work to help underprivileged children and poverty stricken adults in the Andhra Pradesh region.

Jennifer first undertook this mission in 2018, when she was asked to join the UK team of the charity IREF, and utilise her skills and experience in nursing and healthcare.

The work will consist mainly of health screening, and basic medical care, as well as extensive dental and eye care being delivered to orphans and villagers who do not normally have any access to such treatments.

A series of clinics will be held, where the team will work extremely long days in order to see and care for as many people as physically possible in the time available.  During the last trip, 641 people were seen and treated during a single Saturday clinic.  A visit to the poverty stricken village of Utagundam saw the team taking in 252 of the entire 300 population.

This work requires extreme commitment and dedication, but also relies on the support of all of our friends and family.

Thank you to everyone who donated to Jennifer's fundraising page.  Your kind support in this practical way has already helped in the purchase of supplies and gifts that will be taken to India.  The personal fundraiser is now closed.

Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and support in this much needed undertaking.
